The Pool, or museum of art and industry André-Diligent, is a museum of Roubaix which presents collections of applied arts and fine arts from the nineteenth century including fabrics, art pieces decorative, sculptures, paintings and drawings.
The museum is housed in an old art deco pool, built between 1927 and 19321 by Lille architect Albert Baert, hence its nickname "The Pool". La Piscine also offers many conferences, discovery activities of the five senses, classes at the École du Louvre; there is also a dedicated shop and a restaurant / tea room Méert house.
HOW TO REACH
By car: 20 min. from Lille Flandres train station, D656 towards Tourcoing, exit 10.
By public transport: get off at Gare Jean Lebas stop on metro line 2 and then the museum is 500 meters away. It takes 30 minutes by metro from Lille stations.
By train, stop at Roubaix station. The museum is 500 meters away. By bus: Line 32 or Z6 "Jean Lebas" stop
