Roombeek Stadshaard

The CHP (Combined Heat and Power) Stadshaard station, literally the "heart of the city", was designed by Architekten Cie studio and built in 2010. It stands out not only for its dimensions (10 meters high and with a 40-meter chimney) but also for being completely covered in its exterior with Delft ceramics decorated with different motifs and figurative representations. The station was voted in 2010 as the ugliest building of the Netherlands by the NRC newspaper readers.

Architect: Architekten Cie studio
Project date: ca. 2010
