Loft Acht - Galerie in der Brotfabrik

Loft Acht is a platform and gallery for new positions of Austrian and international art.

Since January 2013, Loft8 has been presenting works by young Austrian and international artists in individual and group exhibitions. The focus of the exhibition is in the areas of painting-graphic sculpture-installation. The aim of our platform is to enable the presentation of young positions at Brotfabrik. After an intensive start-up phase 2013/2014, we are planning nine exhibitions this year, including four solo shows and five group exhibitions. The exhibition activities are supplemented and accompanied by artist talks, performances and curated projects.

In order to enable international artists to combine their work with an exhibition space in Austria, we invited four artists from Germany, selected by a specialist jury, to live, work and exhibit at Loft8 in two working periods. This Artists in Residence program will be continued in 2015, with the artists being given a newly created studio and a flat in southern Burgenland. After completion of the working periods the work will be presented in Loft8.
