The Church of Koimesis

This 13th century church, dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God, features a square centre with an internal cross-shaped structure, topped by a dome.


Its exterior is decorated not only with brickwork and cloisonné masonry but also with architectural blocks, inscriptions and figural reliefs which came from the sanctuary of Hera and ancient Argos as well as glazed ceramic bowls.
