The Círculo de Bellas Artes is a vast multidisciplinary cultural center hosting some of the most attractive artistic events in the city. On a daily basis, it organizes numerous activities related to the visual arts, music, films, theater, literature, science, philosophy or poetry.
In Madrid, the Círculo de Bellas Artes is a privately financed, nonprofit cultural institution that has contributed, since its foundation in 1880, major efforts in the international arena to the creating and spreading arts. Its current headquarters, designed by the architect Antonio Palacios, was built in 1926 and is an emblematic building in the heart of downtown Madrid, offering one of the best views of the capital from the roof terrace.
