The Museo Sorolla occupies the building that was the home and studio of the artist Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida (Valencia, 1863 - Cercedilla,1923). It is one of the best preserved artist’s homes in the whole of Europe and houses many of his masterpieces: splendid paintings full of colour that powerfully evoke the joie de vivre and intense light of the Mediterranean.
