experience.brussels free expo

This is not a museum... it’s the most original free exhibition about Brussels and its inhabitants!

Whether you're just passing through or you've been living here for years: this exhibition will teach you all about this astonishing and vibrant city! Here, great efforts are made to present everything you ever wanted to know in a surprising, amusing and captivating way: a giant model gives you a fascinating insight into the region, locals tell you about their Brussels, take part in an interactive quiz, ... experience.brussels may be an informative exhibition, but it is anything but boring or pretentious. In which neighbourhood can I find particular places? What are the area's unmissable specialities? How does it feel to live or work in Brussels? Not only will you leave with the answers to your questions, but also with a head full of fresh ideas, a few words of Brussels dialect and even a personalised postcard!

Family activities

Kids (8-12 years ols)

Discover The Explorer, an activity for families with children: an expedition that is full of surprises and reveals the unexpected sides of our region: its fauna and flora, its hills, waterways and streams, its inhabitants and its legends.

The booklets are on sale from the exhibition’s ticket office for €4, and participants who complete all the challenges will get a little reward!

Teenagers (+12 years old)

For the teenagers we have a challenging activity in a modern and interactive exhibition: the eB! Quiz covers a wide range of fascinating issues. Brussels’ geography, history, environment and institutions, as well as its status as the capital of Europe, are revealed around every corner.

The booklets are sold at the exhibition’s ticket office for €2. Participants who have taken on all the challenges get a little reward!
