CloudGuide launches Belfast Zoo’s official Audio Guide - visit the site from anywhere in the world.

Digital audio tour takes visitors around the Belfast Zoo – listen onsite or remotely via your mobile device.

BARCELONA, SPAIN July 30th 2019 -- Working in partnership with Belfast Zoo, CloudGuide SL, the worldwide leading mobile app for smart sightseeing, is delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new Audio guide tour. In a major initiative to enhance their visitor experience, the free tour will allow both onsite visitors and people from around the world to uncover 33 audio stops with overviews and stories of more than 120 different species.

With the use of their own mobile devices and the free CloudGuide App, visitors can discover everything there is to know about one of Northern Ireland’s oldest and most popular visitor attractions, as well as the story of the 1200 animals that currently call Belfast Zoo their home. The audio tour, currently available in English, takes its audience on a journey across 55 acres, surrounded by stunning panoramic views across the Belfast Lough. 

The tour serves as a personal guide that can be enjoyed for all users at their own preferred pace and desired order, with the help of an interactive built-in map available directly on the App. By simply downloading the free CloudGuide App on their mobile devices or scanning the QR code displayed at the Zoo’s service desk, onsite visitors can enjoy a unique auditory experience, all while learning about their favorite animals in a way they’ve never experienced before. 

CloudGuide tours are just as easily available offsite, allowing users from around the world to immerse themselves in a 35-minute audio recording accompanied by images and transcripts of the guide’s highlighted animals.

This new Audioguide reveals a vast array of fun facts and detailed overviews of each featured animal at the Belfast Zoo, making it a useful source of learning and providing an educational experience. In addition, the CloudGuide App allows all users the ability to provide real-time feedback about their experience, as well as saving their favorite points of interest when they leave the Zoo. This allows visitors to stay connected at all times and have access to what they learnt throughout their visit in order to create lasting memories.

CloudGuide begins a new collaboration with Liège new museum, La Boverie.

SPAIN – May 5, 2016

Barcelona –  5th May 2016 –  CloudGuide has been chosen by the City of Liège (Belgium) as the digital platform for its new Museum of Fine Arts, La Boverie. Named after its surrounding park, the museum will be housed in a former building of the 1905 world exhibition. 


Its opening will be highlighted by the first of several annual exhibits of international masterpieces curated by the Louvre. The inaugural exhibition, entitled In the Open Air, was chosen to illustrate the strong link between the museum and its surrounding park. This show outlines, based on a chronological journey of 100 works, the emergence and gradual development of painting in the open air, from the 18th century to today.

 

La Boverie will use iBeacon technology in order to provide visitors with a unique museum experience. Throughout the museum, more than 60 iBeacons are placed next to the works of well-known  painters such as - Claude Monet, Paul Signac, Pablo Picasso, Paul Gauguin, Marc Chagall -. The information about the artwork will automatically be displayed on the visitor's smartphone thanks to Bluetooth connection. This would enhance the visit and engage users with the most prominent works of art. The newest technology meets timeless art. La Boverie is very excited to start a colaboration with CloudGuide offering a great value expeience to its visitors.

mNACTEC and CloudGuide collaborate to gamify the museum experience

 During the next weeks, mNACTEC will also launch their content in CloudGuide

Last Monday, the tests with iBeacon technology started in the mNACTEC museum in Terrassa to improve its visitors experience.  This new Technology, which has been already introduced in the retail sector, is now being implemented in museus and it’s expected to provide help in the educative departments through gamification tools.

CloudGuide, the new global channel of communication for museums, monuments and cultural institutions, got the suport of European Union and the CreatiFi program to develop their educative and Young oriented version CloudGuide Education.

CloudGuide Education will be develop with the collaboration of the mNACTEC and will consist in the development of a prototype using iBeacons inside of the museum and a treasure hunt game.
