me Collectors Room Berlin / Olbricht Foundation

In rotating exhibitions me Collectors Room Berlin presents not only works from the Olbricht Collection, but also from other international private art collections. A special highlight is the Wunderkammer Olbricht. On permanent display, it contains more than 300 precious exhibits from the Renaissance and Baroque. There is a café and a comprehensive programme of events for adults and children with artist and expert talks, concerts, art dinners, guided tours and workshops accompanying the exhibition

me Collectors Room is a platform for international private art collections to present themselves in Berlin. Commanding 1300 square metres of exhibition space, the Olbricht Collection, which features works from the Renaissance up to the present day, has had its permanent home here since May 2010. Thomas Olbricht regularly shares the space with other international collectors who are invited to give the public an insight into their collections in broadly themed group shows. A special highlight of the space is the permanently installed Wunderkammer Olbricht, which contains more than 300 valuable objects from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
The ‘me’ in ‘me Collectors Room’ stands for ‘moving energies’ and is a clear indication that the space is quite unlike a public museum or traditional art gallery. me Collectors Room is a private space, a personal world of experience, which opens itself up to collectors, curators, and anyone with the spirit of adventure who wants to explore the world of art and its boundless possibilities. We provide a space for children and teens in particular to encounter art, often for the first time, in a playful, unburdened manner.
