HOW TO REACH
Getting to Córdoba is straightforward, thanks to its excellent transport connections in southern Spain.
By Train:
Córdoba is a major stop on Spain’s high-speed AVE network. From Madrid, the journey takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. From Seville, it’s around 45 minutes, and from Málaga, about 1 hour. The train station is close to the city center, making onward travel easy.
By Bus:
Long-distance buses connect Córdoba with cities like Madrid, Seville, and Málaga. The bus station is located opposite the train station, just a short walk from the main sights.
By Car:
Córdoba is accessible via the A-4 motorway from Madrid or Seville, and the A-45 from Málaga. Driving times are roughly 4 hours from Madrid, 1.5 to 2 hours from Seville, and 2 hours from Málaga. Parking in the old town is limited, so it’s best to use public lots on the city’s edge if you’re not staying in a central hotel.
By Plane:
The nearest major airports are in Seville and Málaga. From either airport, you can reach Córdoba by train or car in about 1 to 2 hours.
Once in Córdoba, the historic center is best explored on foot, but taxis and city buses are available for longer distances. For regional trips, consider renting a car or using local buses to explore nearby towns and attractions.
