Kempenmuseum De Acht Zaligheden

The property, which Kempen Museum is currently located, dates from about 1890. In 1910 the farm was destroyed by lightning. On the foundations A new Kempen long farmhouse built. Until 1974 the farm here is actually exercised. On April 9, 1979 the Museum Foundation was set up The Eight Beatitudes. This made it possible for the collection, gathered by Piet Kwinten to be accommodated in the farmhouse on the Kapelweg. On April 19, 1980 the relocation takes place. Of course on traditional Kempische manner.In several phases, the building was expanded and renovated to what it is now. In 2005 there was a connection between the farm and the former pigsty, now serves as a reception area and coffee shovel. In 2010 realized a new building on the site, including a depot that meets all the requirements of preserving a museum need. In 2013 - 2014 the farm itself is restored and renewed. This offers the opportunity to further the museum's exhibition space by also make the upper floor to the public. As of June 21, 2014 is on the upper floor, easily accessible by stairs and elevator, an overview in sound and vision and experience of the agricultural development of the Kempen 1900 -. 1960 with objects mainly from its own rich collection of the museum for an impression of the renovation.

The museum is equipped with an elevator,  making the museum attic is also wheelchair accessible.

Strollers allowed in the museum. Baby carriers and backpacks must be deposited at the reception.

Dogs are welcome on a lead.

Accessible 
Eersel is situated twenty kilometers south of Eindhoven at the A67. 
There is a bus service to Eindhoven and Tilburg. 
From Eindhoven: Bus 150 to Eersel, journey time 40 minutes.
From Tilburg: line 143 to Uppingham, with stops on line 150 to Eersel, journey time 70 minutes. 
the bus stop is near the museum (Voortseweg Eersel). When you get off the bus turn left towards house no. 25. 
A little further you will find the museum on the left (in the bend). You're welcome!

Opening times The museum is open all year, except Carnival (Saturday and Sunday), 1st Christmas Day and New Year. On 1st and 2nd Easter Monday, Ascension Day, King's Day, May 5 , 1st and 2nd 2nd Pentecost and Christmas Day we are open from 13:00 to 17:00 h.
