Sturehov Manor

Sturehov is a two-storey manor house in the Gustavian style located on the Mälarenbeach, 25 km. from Stockholm. It was designed in the late 18th century by Carl Fredrik Adelcrantz on demand of Johan Liljencrant (Gustav III Finance Minister) and is flanked by two wings from the previous century.

The ground floor of the main building houses the kitchens and simpler living quarters while the first floor is distinguished by its larger windows and a rich and well-preserved décor in a style ranging from late Rococo to Neoclassicism. At present, it can be visited and some of its spaces are available to be rented for the celebration of events.
