Museum Nikolaikirche

Prior a church, now a museum, Nikolaikirche has been a landmark of the Berlin city centre for more than 800 years.

Prior a church, now a museum, Nikolaikirche has been a landmark of the Berlin city centre for more than 800 years.

The twin-towered building and basement floors are considered to be the oldest existing rooms in Berlin. Our permanent exhibition offers visitors an inside look on the history of the church and Nikolaiviertel, the surrounding area. Events, concerts and a weekly finale with organ music are also part of our programme.

With it's deep history especially music related it's a top spot to feel Berlin history. From 1939, the Nikolaikirche was no longer used as a church and later in 1987 it was re-purposed as a museum.
