Centro Cultural Español de Cooperación Iberoamericana

To promote the social, human and economic development in South Florida through the cultural exchange of institutions and creators from Spain, Latin America and Miami providing a platform for dialogue and education for the city. CCEMiami will pay particular attention to those groups which have limited access to culture, always inspired by the principle of freedom and respect for cultural diversity.


Centro Cultural Español de Cooperación Iberoamericana, Inc. (CCEMiami) was founded in 1996.  Organized for charitable, educational, artistic, and cultural purposes as set forth in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code that aims to promote and foster cultural cooperation, local creativity and the creation of aspace for dialogue and exchange by means of a culturally relevant and continuous annual program.

Miami has a diverse population with a very strong Hispanic presence from every possible origin. CCEMiami aims to make tangible the cultural presence of those countries in Florida, to enhancetheir historical traditions and cultural expressions in the world and the shared Hispanic heritage in the U.S

The CCEMiami is sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, media, local institutions, financial and commercial enterprises and the private sector, who wish to contribute to the development and growth of the activities and programs.

CCEMiami is part of a network of cultural centersbelonging to the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID), consisting of 19 cultural facilities located throughout Latin America, that provide international exposure to our projects. Our Center is the only one of its kind in the U.S. with a continuous annual program offered in every cultural discipline.

The final goal is to promote cooperation between cultures and academic and scientific exchangeto share knowledge and enhance the living conditions, economic growth and social equity thru the world.


HOW TO REACH

The CCEMiami is located in downtown on Biscayne Boulevard with 15th St. We are facing Omni Station and near the Adrienne Arsht Center. CCEMiami is easy accessible by car, trolley or metromover.
