Le Musée Olympique

The Olympic Museum pays tribute to the men and women who celebrate and live the Olympic ideal: athletes of course, but also creators, architects, volunteers, all those who are committed to reviving, every wo years, the dream of Coubertin in a form each time renewed.

To live a story is to share it. An enthralling exhibition, moments of intensity. 

Would you like to relive great Olympic moments? Feel the pulse of the champions? Discover the creative flair of the host cities?  The world of the Games with its many facets will open up to you. The Museum has 3000 m2 of exhibition space, over 1500 exhibits, 150 screens and our passion, combining to create the ultimate experience. From The Olympic Park, with its sports installations and sculptures, to the TOM Café and its menus inspired by the cuisine of cities who have hosted the Games, you will have great stories to tell. Take your time, the view of the lake is already enough to take your breath away.

How do you see the Games? Every edition has its innovations and unique aesthetic. The temporary exhibitions show the Games in all their diversity. Accompanied with the numerous cultural events, they will open new doors to reveal different ways of experiencing the Games.

ACCESSIBILITY

People with reduced mobility

Access
Two disabled parking spaces are available at the north entrance to the Museum. 
Services
The lifts and public areas in the Museum are accessible to wheelchair users. 
Mobility maps are available at the reception desk.

Hearing-impaired and deaf people

Services
The multimedia elements of our permanent exhibitions are fitted with hearing induction loops.
The Museum also offers a portable hearing induction loop for our audio guides.

Vision-impaired and blind people

Access
Guide dogs are welcome at the Museum. 

Services:
The permanent exhibition includes a 22-point touch tour, including tactile information points and Museum artefacts.

Groups
Groups with their own guides are welcome if they book in advance.

HOW TO REACH

By train:
Direct train to Lausanne and M2 metro to Ouchy

By metro / TL bus:
Metro M2 (Ouchy-Olympique stop) / Bus N°2 (Ouchy stop) or Bus N°8 and 25 (Olympic Museum stop)

By car:
Access: A9 motorway, Maladière exit
Underground car park of the Navigation in Ouchy, 400m from the Museum, parking spaces in the blue zone on the outskirts, places for buses along the Quai d' Ouchy and a place for visitors with disabilities at the northern entrance of the museum (access Elysée).

By boat:
Regular races since Evian, Vevey, Montreux and Villeneuve in high season.

By foot:
10 minutes from the M2 Ouchy-Olympic metro M2
10 minutes from the CGN landing in Ouchy
20 minutes from Lausanne's SBB railway station
