Canterlandse Bridge

The Canterlandse Bridge, located at the boundary of the Tytsjerksteradiel and Leeuwarden boroughs, is the last one the skaters pass under on the Elfstedentocht, a winter skate race that passes through eleven historical cities of the province of Friesland. In the period 2001-2008, the bridge structure was coated with thousands of blue glazed tiles from Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum.
