Remai Modern

Remai Modern’s building was designed to be animated with art and create transformative experiences. The striking new museum sits on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, offering intimate spaces, dramatic expanses, and stunning views of the South Saskatchewan River and prairie skies. Spanning four levels, Remai Modern has 11 gallery spaces over three floors, learning studios, a theatre, restaurant, store, lounges, play areas and numerous multi-use spaces.

ACCESSIBILITY

Remai Modern strives to offer a welcoming and accessible experience for all our guests. The building has been designed to be inclusive and easily navigable.

Accessibility Features include:

All levels of the building are accessible for visitors with disabilities.

Each level features bathrooms that are accessible for visitors with disabilities.

All doorways are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs.

Front entrance features push button entry.

Wheelchair access is available from the heated attached parkade.

All public spaces are identified with braille signage.

Audible floor indicators in elevators.

BY BIKE & FOOT
Remai Modern is easily accessible from cycling and walking trails and is ideally located amongst many of downtown's amenities. Within a 15-minute walk, visitors will find Persephone Theatre, Midtown Plaza, Saskatoon Farmers’ Market, TCU Place, and the Riversdale and Broadway communities. Bike parking is available on-site in the River Landing Parkade or at the bike racks along Spadina Crescent.

BY TRANSIT
Remai Modern is serviced by City of Saskatoon bus routes 1, 6, 7, 8 and 9. The Downtown Saskatoon transit terminal is a 15-minute walk to the museum. Fare information can be found here and public transportation routes can be accessed through Google Transit.

Transportation for people with disabilities available through Access Transit, for those who are unable to use the regular transit system with safety and dignity, on an accessible door to accessible door basis. BY CAR
From the Saskatoon Airport: travel South on airport drive, exit onto Circle Drive East, exit onto Highway 11 South (Idylwyld Drive) through downtown, turn left onto 19th Street East, right onto 2nd Avenue South.

From the University of Saskatchewan: travel West on College Drive, cross the University Bridge, turn left onto 2nd Avenue North and follow it through downtown to the riverbank where you will arrive at Remai Modern.

PARKING
The River Landing Parkade is located underneath Remai Modern offering underground heated parking and free public bicycle parking. The parkade entrance is on Saunders Place, off of 2nd Avenue. The Parkade is open seven days a week, 7 AM–midnight, including on statutory holidays. Pay stations in the Parkade accept coins and credit cards or you can pay via the Honk Mobile phone app.

There are over 300 on-street spaces throughout River Landing that offer two to three-hour parking, depending on location. The cost is $2 per hour, Monday to Saturday from 9 AM–6 PM. Parking on Sundays and holidays is free.
