Trains from Munich take about 1.5 hours, and from Vienna about 2.5 hours.
There are also direct night trains from cities like Milan, Rome, Venice, and Zagreb.
Train travel is generally the most popular and convenient way to reach Salzburg from within Europe.

Salzburg W. A. Mozart Airport (SZG) has direct flights from many European cities, including London, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Berlin, Zurich, Brussels, and Istanbul.
For more flight options, you can fly into Munich or Vienna and take a direct train to Salzburg (about 1.5 hours from Munich, 2.5 hours from Vienna).
