HOW TO REACH
The easiest way to get to Mallorca is by flying into Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), which is the island’s main and only commercial airport. It’s well connected with direct flights from major cities across Spain, Europe, and other international destinations. The airport is located just 8 km from Palma’s city center and is served by public buses and taxis for onward travel.
Alternatively, you can reach Mallorca by ferry from mainland Spain. Regular ferry routes operate from Barcelona, Valencia, and Dénia to Mallorca’s ports in Palma and Alcúdia. Fast ferries from Barcelona can take as little as 3.5 hours, while conventional ferries may take up to 8.5 hours. Ferries also run from other Balearic Islands, such as Ibiza, with crossings typically lasting 2 to 4 hours.
There are no direct trains or ferries from the UK or other non-Spanish countries, so travelers from further afield should fly directly or connect via a Spanish city before taking a ferry.
