Church of Saint-Nicolas-de-Tolentin de Brou

The church of Saint-Nicolas-de-Tolentin Brou is part of the CloudGuide community thanks to the current collaboration with the Ceramics and its Dimensions project. Ceramics and its Dimensions is an innovative project encompassing all facets of ceramics and uniting Europe under its wide umbrella.


Ceramics and its Dimensions is an innovative project encompassing all facets of ceramics and uniting Europe under its wide umbrella. It will bring museums, universities, and research institutes together to provide an integral view of ceramics past, present and future and, last but not least, harness all manner of internal and external communication to shed light on the dawn of ceramics: European ceramics – a material with tradition for the world of tomorrow.

 

Opening times:

January to March: open daily 9.00-12.00 / 14.00-17.00

April to June: open daily 9.00-12.30 / 14.00-18.00

July to September: open daily 9.00-18.00

October to December: open daily 9.00-12.00 / 14.00-17.00


ACCESSIBILITY

> Access for the Physically Impaired on the ground floor

Tours are available for the Hearing Impaired with audio induction loops.
Tours are also available in French Sign Language, booking required, as well as for the Visually Impaired.
Tours are available for visitors with Developmental or Learning Disabilities, booking required.

> The church, the ground floor of the three cloisters and the refectory are accessible for the Physically Impaired.
Access to the rood screen entails climbing a 32-step staircase.
The temporary exhibition rooms are on the ground floor, but the inside doors are of reduced width (less than 80 cm). The museum’s permanent collections are on the 1st floor with access by a 30-step staircase.
Adapted toilets can be found in the 1st cloister and in the activity rooms.
The lift can be used for access to the art workshop (80-cm wide).
A wheelchair and folding chairs are available for loan upon request.

From Mâcon: A 40, exit n° 7 & N 75 to Bourg-en-Bresse. From Lyon: A 42, exit n° 7 & N 75 to Bourg-en-Bresse

BY TRAIN
SNCF : TGV Paris - Bourg-en-Bresse 2h (direct). From the station, 15 mn by foot or bus 3 or 8 to the station "champ de foire" , changing for the bus 5, station "église de Brou".
