Villa Loos

Vila Loos was designed in 1901 by the architect Jože Plecnik, who had been a student of Otto Wagner, commissioned by the notary Hans Loos of Losimfeldt. The building, considered as a rejection of historicism, has a façade structured with simple elements in different materials, including smooth and rough plaster, glazed ceramic tiles, bricks and fiber cement panels.

Due to its artistic and cultural importance, the building was listed in 1993 by the Office of Federal Monuments.

Project date: 1901
