The House of the Masks, built circa 150-100 BC, is named after the theatre masks mosaics that are on it.
The building consists of several small rooms connected by a central courtyard and probably served as a temporary housing complex for traveling theatrical groups performing at Delos. By the 2nd century AD, the island was mostly abandoned beginning a period of decay and ruin of its buildings, including the House of Masks.
Project date: 150-100 BC.
