KUNST HAUS WIEN. Museum Hundertwasser

The Museum Hundertwasser presents a unique cross-section of the oeuvre of the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. KUNST HAUS WIEN. also presents temporary photography exhibitions.

Museum Hundertwasser

The Museum Hundertwasser is part of KUNST HAUS WIEN, which was established in 1991 on the basis of the Hundertwasser's philosophy and artistic principles. The architectural remodelling of the former Thonet furniture factory was effected in accordance with Hundertwasser's own designs. Vienna’s first “green museum” also gives its visitors the chance to experience Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s visionary ecological commitement – he experimented with grass roofs and planted trees in building facades.

KunstHaus WIEN

KUNST HAUS WIEN also presents temporary exhibitions, which in the past have been devoted to such illustrious artists as Andy Warhol, Christo, Picasso, Keith Haring, Niki de Saint Phalle and many others, as well as to world-famous photographers such as Herb Ritts or Robert Mapplethorpe.
