HOW TO REACH

To reach Capri, you need to travel by sea, as there are no bridges, tunnels, or airports on the island. Ferries and high-speed hydrofoils operate year-round from Naples and Sorrento, with additional summer routes from Positano, Amalfi, Salerno, and Ischia.

From Naples, ferries depart from two main piers: Molo Beverello for high-speed ferries and Calata di Massa for regular and slow ferries. The high-speed ferry takes about 40–50 minutes, while the regular ferry takes 1–1.5 hours. From Sorrento, ferries and hydrofoils leave from Marina Piccola, and the trip to Capri takes about 20–25 minutes. In summer, there are also direct ferries from other Amalfi Coast towns, with travel times varying by location.

Tickets are available at the port or online, and prices typically range from €19 to €29 one way, depending on the company and season. Most visitors leave their cars on the mainland, as non-resident vehicles are not allowed on Capri for most of the year, and the island is best explored on foot or by public transport.
