Kunstbibliothek

The Kunstbibliothek is an interdisciplinary research institution with one of the world's largest museum libraries. In addition, there are important collections on the history of architecture, photography, graphic design and fashion, as well as on book and media art. The library and museum collections together represent the entire spectrum of art and cultural science research.

he core tasks of the art library are the interdisciplinary networking and literature supply of the disciplines at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. With her researches and exhibitions she opens up new perspectives on the history of the visual media, architecture, fashion and art, as well as on the common history of Western and Western European art. 

The network of the Art Library has three locations: Cultural Forum ( museum collections , Art Research Library ), Archaeological Center ( Archaeological Library ) and Museum of Photography (exhibition space for the collection of photography). For the Humboldt Forum , a library for foreign European ethnology and art history is planned as the fourth branch.
